Background.
This project was both a continuation and conclusion of another's design work, as well as an opportunity to build confidence in the technical side of wrapping up a design project. Another Third Floor Design member had already created the logo; the guidelines, additional deliverables, and packaging work was needed. Globus Distribution requested a logo, business cards, stationary, and email templates.
Process.
Although this project was equal parts design and clerical work, it was very useful in practicing color systems. The process of the Pantone Matching System was a new experience, but essential to learn. It involved hands-on color comparison in many cases. Matching neutral tones like beige required several rounds of testing. RGB and CMYK's functions were familiar already, but applying them to multiple formats required organization as well as focus.
